Curriculum

Mannafields’ Curriculum

We used a curriculum that operated around a three yearly cycle on the characters of God (e.g. God is Creator, God is Justice and Mercy etc). Whether a pupil was being taught geography or sharing their thoughts during a life-skills discussion class, our curriculum seeks to permeate God as the ultimate source of all subjects, wisdom and understanding. Pupils were shown how God’s Word is relevant to all areas of learning, life and experience, gradually building a Christ-like world-view to help them critique an increasingly secularised world.

Teaching was in line with the government’s ‘Curriculum for Excellence’, ensuring a smooth transition into further studies in the Senior years at Nationals 4 and 5.

The range of academic subjects.embraced the following CfE Benchmarks:

  • Literacy and English
  • Religious and Moral Education
  • Numeracy and Mathematics
  • Sciences and Technologies
  • Modern and Classical Languages (French,
  • Latin and Korean)
  • Health and Wellbeing (PE, Food and Life skills)
  • Expressive Arts
  • Social Studies

Pupils moved through the school in three mixed tiers where work pace was differentiated on a one to one level:

  • Infants (P1-P3)
  • Juniors (P4-P6
  • Seniors (P7-S2)
  • Introducing Secondary Plus (S3-S4; S5-S6) starting August 2025
